Testimonial From a Local Architect

Hi Stephen,

Please see attachments for photos of my boat and trailer taken a few months ago.

I bought the trailer new from Windward Boats August 2010 to replace my old trailer ( without Zinga protection) which was pretty badly corroded by salt water.  I applied the Zinga coating on the new trailer and double coated the critical areas on the trailer frame.  I have taken note of the most vulnerable areas from my old trailer for rust and corrosion.  One small can of Zinga is all I needed and I applied the coating with just a paint brush.

As you can see in some of the closed-up photos, there is hardly any sign of corrosion.  The darker shade is from harbor grease and oil at the launching ramps.  This is indeed a miracle product for any boat owner to protect their investment in Hawaii’s harsh salty environment.

I am an Architect by profession and I am familiar with rust and corrosion in older buildings.  I will now recommend to all my clients to use this product on any surface deem appropriate for “Zinga Protection”.

Thanks Stephen for introducing the amazing product to me.

Mahalo,

Mike Loke

PS:  The last picture was taken my me (Ultra wide angle lens) with my diving buddies and we are all on rebreathers.  This is the reason I need to keep my boat trailer in top shape so that I can take my boat out to do the fun thing like in this photo.

ZINGA Product Line

The Film Galvanizing System Zinga® combines many advantages:

  • An Active or Cathodic Protection,
  • A Passive Barrier Protection
  • An Easy Application

In order achieve Galvanic protection, a zinc concentration of at least 92% has to be present in the dry extract. Having 96% of zinc in the dry film, ZINGA® certainly meets this condition. ZINGA® offers an excellent active and passive protection.

ZINGA

The film galvanizing system ZINGA® is a one pack coating that contains 96% zinc in the dry film and provides cathodic protection to ferrous metals. It can be used as a unique system as an alternative to hot-dip galvanization or metallization, as primer in a duplex system or as a recharging system for hot-dip galvanization or metallization. It can be applied by brushing, rolling or spraying on a clean and rough substrate in a wide range of atmospheric circumstances. ZINGA® is also available as an aerosol and is sold as Zingaspray.

Aquazinga

Aquazinga is a 2 pack 100% water-based anti-corrosion system based on inorganic zinc silicates. Due to its high zinc content in the dry film (92%) it provides cathodic protection to ferrous metals. It can be used as a stand alone system as an alternative to hot-dip galvanization or metallization. Aquazinga has an excellent resistance to abrasion and is
designed to withstand corrosive environments and severe conditions, including high temperatures (up to 600°C).

Monoprimer

Monoprimer is a one component moisture curing polyurethane primer.
It is an ideal product to treat:
- sand blasted as well as
- manually derusted surfaces.
Its lamellar structure together with its moisture curing properties provides a very good impermeability and keeps water and oxygen away from the surface underneath it.
We advise the use of this product where complete derusting isn´t possible (e.g.: old bridges, pylons,…).

Zingaspray

The film galvanizing system Zingaspray is a coating that contains 96% zinc in the dry film and provides cathodic protection to ferrous metals. It is ideal for the repairing and touching-up of damaged or old hot-dip galvanization, Zinga and other zinc systems
